Quick Tips And Helpful Hints For PC Users

> This tip was suggested by one of our wonderful, valued customers. If you want to copy text or move it from one place to another in a document the process is very easy. Simply highlight the text you want to move or copy with your mouse pointer, right-click on the selected text, and choose either cut or copy. Now move to the place that you want to put the text, right-click again, and choose paste. There you go!

> Have you ever had a bunch of windows open at the same time and wish you could minimize them all at once instead of clicking each one individually? Well, you can! Just hold down the Windows key on your keyboard (this is the key 2 to the left or right of your space bar and press the letter "M" key.

> If you send a lot of email or use your email account for business purposes, it can be a real pain to retype all of your contact info with each email. If you use Outlook Express, you can add a signature to get automatically appended to the bottom of every email that you send. Here is how... open Outlook Express, click on "Tools" then click on "Options". This will open a box on your screen. Click the "Signatures" tab. Now click "New" and type the text in the box that you wish to add to the bottom of your emails. Click Apply then OK. There you go! Now your signature will be added to all of your outgoing email!

> It may be tempting to respond to spam email messages, giving the sender a piece of your mind or telling them that you want to be taken off their mailing list. However, this may prove quite ineffective. Many times, if you respond to such email, you are just telling the spammer that "Hey, my e-mail address is read by a live person!" Thus, you could end up just getting more spam.

> Instead of using the usual method of attaching files to your emails, here's a quicker way of getting it done:
Open up a New email, then minimize it to the taskbar. Browse for the file you wish to attach and drag & drop it in to the email sitting on the taskbar.
You will have to hold the mouse over the email until the email opens up, then drop it in.

> Want to delete an email without opening it? Here is how... You can turn off the preview pane, which would then require you to double-click on a message to open it. To remove the pane, open Outlook Express, click on "View" then "Layout" and un-check "Show preview pane".
Also, you can setup a Preview button on the top toolbar in OE to toggle this effect on/off. Go to View then Layout then Customize Toolbar.  From the left pane select Preview and move it to the right pane, click close. You should now have a button on the toolbar that says Preview. You can now toggle between having the bottom pane closed or opened.

> If you have added some-one to the block senders list and you would like to reverse this, here's how: Open Outlook Express then Choose Tools> Message Rules> Block Senders List, click the address of the person in the list and click Remove.

> You can keep others that may share Outlook Express with you from accessing your email account by making Outlook Express prompt for your password before accessing your email. Choose Tools/Accounts/Mail tab, select your account, and click Properties/Server tab. Disable the Remember Password check box, click OK, then Close.
