Quick Tips and Helpful Hints From Our Technical Support Department

> If you notice that your emails are coming into your Outlook Express Deleted Items folder instead of your Inbox, check your Blocked Senders List. To see this list, open your Outlook Express, click Tools at the top of the screen, go down to message rules, then click on "Blocked Senders List". If any senders are blocked, you will see them here. You can easily add or delete email addresses that you want blocked or unblocked. Just remember that if you block an email address using the Blocked Sender's List, all incoming email from that address will go directly to your Deleted Items folder instead of your Inbox.

> Your Homepage is the first page that comes up in your Internet Explorer when you connect to the internet. To change your Homepage to something different, open Internet Explorer, click Tools at the top then click on Internet Options. A box will pop up and you will see a box with a web address in it. This is your Homepage. You can delete what is in this box and type in any web address that you want. When you are finished, click Apply then OK.

> The correct way to make a call to our tech support team is as follows: Call our tech support team at this number 1-888-605-9322. You will hear a recording. After the recording you will hear a few fast beeps. After the beeps, use your telelphone to enter your telephone number and then press the pound (#) sign. You will hear a few more beeps. Now simply hang up and our tech support team will be sure to contact you as quickly as they can. If you think that you have mis-typed your number, be sure to call us again. If you do not receive a call back within 20-30 minutes, please call again because we may have not received your call the first time.

> If you notice that you are unable to open attachments in Outlook Express, here's an easy fix for you. Open Outlook Express, click Tools at the top and then click Options. A box will pop up and you will see a tab at the top that says "Security". Click this tab and you will see a check box that says "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus". Simply uncheck this box, then click Apply and OK. Remember! Never open an attachment from an email address that you don't recognize. Also, if you receive an attachment from someone you do know, but you were not expecting, be sure to call your friend and ask if they actually sent you the attachment. Sometimes, spammers will use email addresses of people that you know to send viruses.

> Did you know that you can use your own special shorthand language to help you write more quickly in Word? For example, instead of typing someone's full name, you might type only the person's initials. The AutoCorrect feature in Word could automatically substitute the person's full name in place of your shorthand initials. To do this, simply choose the AutoCorrect option under the Tools menu. In the Replace field, type in your shorthand notation. In the With field, type in the full text. You even have the option of formatting the text to make this feature even more useful. Click the Add button when you're done, and Word will smartly replace your shorthand notation with the full text, saving you time.

> You can easily maximize your web-page display by collapsing the IE toolbars. Then, when you need them, you can simply expand them again. To collapse the toolbars, press Command + B. To expand the toolbars, press Command + B again.
